San Diego Daily Dive Reports

Visibility: 5-15 feet

Surf: 2-3 feet

Water temp: 68-71 F

Murky yesterday, all the way down to about 100' in the canyon. Right next to the shore the water was clear and we saw plenty of leopard sharks but it got murky quickly after that. Expect similar conditions today

Visibility: 5-15 feet

Surf: 2-3 feet

Water temp: 68-71 F

More of the same, murky at the surface until about 30' of depth at which point it clears up nicely. Some pockets in the shores and Marine Room are seeing good viz close to shore but it's very spotty

Visibility: 5-15 feet

Surf: 2-4 feet

Water temp: 68-71 F

Similar to what we've been seeing recently with a murky layer at the surface that opens up to clear (25-30' viz) water at about 35 feet of depth. A little more swell today, plus overcast skies and some early wind chop are taking the overall viz down a tad

Visibility: 10-20 feet

Surf: 1-3 feet

Water temp: 68-71 F

Conditions staying in the good range, but they're definitely spotty. Surface layer of murk is still hanging around in a lot of areas, but once you get below it (at about 20 feet) it clears up nicely

Visibility: 10-20 feet

Surf: 1-3 feet

Water temp: 68-71 F

Calm surface conditions today and good reports from yesterday...still a little spotty, many areas are seeing murky zones near the surface but once you get below 20 feet it clears up nicely!

Visibility: 10-20 feet

Surf: 1-3 feet

Water temp: 68-71 F

Great conditions in La Jolla yesterday, nice and clear near the beach at the Shores and as we got out to the canyon it was a bit murky at the top, but cleared up nicely at about 20 feet. Today the seas are very calm and we have great surface conditions so visibility should be about the same as yesterday if not better. Expect around 15' closer to shore, and more like 20' further out

Visibility: 10-20 feet

Surf: 1-3 feet

Water temp: 68-71 F

Good reports coming in from the La Jolla area, especially around the Marine Room! Water is nice and warm and is clearing up. Some areas are still dealing with spots of murky surface layer but it seems to be improving across the board. We'll be out at the shores, look for our tent and swing by!

Visibility: 5-15 feet

Surf: 2-3 feet

Water temp: 67-70 F

More of the same...minimal surf and surge, but a layer of murk near the surface. Down in the canyon things open up nicely, but snorkelers will likely be stuck in around 5' viz in most areas

Visibility: 5-15 feet

Surf: 2-4 feet

Water temp: 67-70 F

Definitely some upwelling going on and the water has cooled a bit, but still pleasant compared to the rest of the year! Visibility is still fickle with a layer of murk near the surface, though it seems to be getting thinner. Surf will be fading a bit which will make conditions easier. Expect 5-10 foot viz near shore, but if you can get a little deeper it opens up nicely
