Haven't had one of these in a while! Great reports from yesterday, some seeing 30-40' viz in the kelp before the tide started pulling out! Definitely get out there today if you can, water is looking awesome!

Water looks nice and calm today, and will be clearing up nicely! Expect viz to be around 15', and even better further out. Try to get out in the morning before the tide starts ripping out...remember, we talked why in our Understanding Visibility blog!
Visibility: 5-15 feet
Surf: 3-4 feet
Water temp: 58-60 F
Still some surf out there but not as frequent as yesterday. Big early morning high tide will be getting draining out all day, which is not good for viz, but the deeper water will still be somewhat clear.

Surprisingly clear water for the stormy conditions we've had, yesterday La Jolla was 15' in the shallows and 25' in the canyon. With the additional rain and swell that will probably have been reduced to the 5-15' range, but the big thing is water quality. Not recommended to get in the water for 72 hrs after it rains :/
