San Diego Daily Dive Reports

Visibility: 0-10 feet

Surf: 4-5 feet

Water temp: 57-60 F

Swell has eased a bit but there's still a good amount of energy out there, as well as churned up sediment that will be keeping the viz low. Oh and a heavy outgoing tide for most of the day, though up until about 8am that shouldn't be too much of an issue. If you're really itching to go dawn patrol with low expectations would be the call

Visibility: 0-10 feet

Surf: 5-8 feet

Water temp: 57-60 F

Swell is peaking today, head high to well overhead sets will be creating lots of surge and lots of murk. If you can get into deep water it may be diveable, but close to shore will be pretty shut down

Visibility: 5-15 feet

Surf: 3-5 feet

Water temp: 57-60 F

Very similar to yesterday, poor conditions close to shore but it seems like offshore, and in the La Jolla dive areas, conditions still seem pretty great.

Visibility: 5-15 feet

Surf: 4-5 feet

Water temp: 57-60 F

Good sized swell filled in overnight and will be causing some surge and churn under the surface. If you can get offshore the water should still be pretty clear, but most areas will be a bit more hazy, especially close in to shore

Visibility: 10-20 feet

Surf: 2-3 feet

Water temp: 57-60 F

Water is chilly but definitely clearing up! Expect the La Jolla area to be solidly in the 20'+ zone for viz, definitely a good day to get wet!

Visibility: 10-20 feet

Surf: 2-3 feet

Water temp: 58-60 F

Scuba divers said 20' viz at La Jolla canyon this morning and we're about to go verify! Surf zone will be a bit murky in most places but if you can get outside of that the water will be pretty clear...definitely get wet today!

Visibility: 0-10 feet

Surf: 3-4 feet

Water temp: 58-60 F

Don't expect too much out of today, with rain and winds last night the water will be fairly murky

Visibility: 10-20 feet

Surf: 3-4 feet

Water temp: 58-60 F

Starting off with good surface conditions but winds are picking up through the day. Watch for some solid wind chop to develop throughout the way which will cause conditions to deteriorate.

Visibility: 10-20 feet

Conditions have been tricky! Saw 15-20' viz in the canyon yesterday but many areas like the cove and up north in Carlsbad were around 5 feet. Surface conditions look similar today. Just watch for the outgoing tide in the afternoon which will cause some murk, and tag our instagram @DiveViz with your reports!
