Scuba divers said 20' viz at La Jolla canyon this morning and we're about to go verify! Surf zone will be a bit murky in most places but if you can get outside of that the water will be pretty clear...definitely get wet today!

Don't expect too much out of today, with rain and winds last night the water will be fairly murky

Starting off with good surface conditions but winds are picking up through the day. Watch for some solid wind chop to develop throughout the way which will cause conditions to deteriorate.

Conditions have been tricky! Saw 15-20' viz in the canyon yesterday but many areas like the cove and up north in Carlsbad were around 5 feet. Surface conditions look similar today. Just watch for the outgoing tide in the afternoon which will cause some murk, and tag our instagram @DiveViz with your reports!

Great conditions today above and below the surface. Some swell in the water so be wary of the surge and murk close to shore, but if you can get out a ways the water is clear!

Deeper water has been really clear, lots of reports around the 30' mark! The shallows have still been murky, some reports coming in around 5', but overall the conditions should be even better today! Less intense of an outgoing tide also helps. Get after it!

More clear water out there with a little bit of swell, but nothing significant. Extreme tide shift starts with a 9:45 high and will drop throughout the day. Try to get on it early, be mindful of the currents that will pick up due to the tide shift, make sure you have a buddy, but most of all get out there!

Today is a tricky one! A lot of the beach areas seem pretty murky from swell and runoff, though areas like La Jolla and especially spots further out are reporting excellent conditions. I'd say, take a look from the beach first as conditions are pretty variable right now, but there are some excellent conditions on tap for many places today
